Once again the publishing world has gathered at the most important venue for every one in the book business - Frankfurt Book Fair.
With a long history of presence at the FBF, this year Korotan - Ljubljana presents itself at the fair in a different way. We are now a member of the Krater Group which is becoming one of the most important groups in the graphic business in our part of the Europe.
Korotan - Ljubljana is a Sales & Marketing company for the graphic industry joined in the Krater Group, offering our clients services, products and solutions of the highest quality, with focus on printing and binding of hard- and soft-cover colour-books, magazines, brochures, textbooks and many other products. It combines the knowledge and experience of more than 20 years working as a print broker whose clients were 100 % from the countries of Western and Northern Europe, with more than a century long tradition of each and all of our printing and binding plants.
We organize and control the complete process, from the pre-press to delivery anywhere in the world. The vast majority of our clients are renowned publishers, mainly from Scandinavia, Germany, Great Britain, the Netherlands, Austria, France and, of course, Slovenia.
KRATER GROUP is a young and very dynamic group, comprised of 22 companies, all located in Slovenia. Out of these 22 companies 10 are in the graphic industry (pre-press services, printers and binders, manufactures of carton and board, sales of graphic material and services, etc.) and the remaining are focused on the media (newspaper and magazine publishers, radio stations, ...) and other activities (waste paper and other waste material management, logistics and transportation, ...). The total number of employees in the Group is more than 1.700 and the planned turnover for 2007 is almost 200 million E.
DELO TISKARNA is a sheet-fed printing and binding plant with a tradition dating back to the 18th century. Using the latest technology, such as the new 10-colour KBA printing machine, and skilled workforce, they continue to deliver high-quality hard- and soft-cover books and other printed products to the most demanding markets of Europe.
MA-TISK is a sheet-fed printing and binding plant, specialized in the production of hard- and soft-cover and flexo-bound books with a focus on fast turnaround time textbook production and top quality coffee-table books. With a big new investment in 2007 in two new MAN Roland 900 XXL 7B+ machines in the format 1260 x 1620 and in all the necessary pre- and post-press equipment it is becoming one of the leading printing plants in the region with a high growth potential.
TČR is the largest web offset printer in Slovenia specialized in the production of magazines, catalogues, brochures, marketing and advertising material and other printed matter. A tradition of more than 150 years, new technology and highly-trained personnel are a guarantee for a job well done.
SET is a web printer with a focus on daily and weekly newspapers, magazines, sales catalogues and marketing material for big retailers. Fast turnaround time and competitive prices are the trademark of Set and give them an edge in the market.
KOČEVSKI TISK is a printing plant specialized in printing for pharmaceutical industry, mainly thin-paper instructions and carton packaging for medicine. Other products include food-industry packaging and marketing material.
STUDIO LUKSURIA is a pre-press studio with all the latest technology. Highly qualified staff is available to give advice to our clients from the very start of the process till the end of pre-press production. A close collaboration with clients enables them to deliver a perfect printed matter.
